The Challenge
Sara Cristina is a NYC-based luxury swim and resort-wear brand operating in an increasingly competitive market, with growing pressure from wholesale partners impacting its direct-to-consumer revenue stream. While the brand had a strong visual identity and clear aesthetic, it required strategic guidance to scale its ecommerce business, diversify revenue channels, and unlock international growth through a structured DTC-first marketing approach.
The Approach
We developed a bespoke DTC and marketing channel strategy designed to strengthen direct revenue while expanding the brand’s global customer base. A key focus was international customer acquisition, supported by the launch of a new website and a full platform migration from WooCommerce to Shopify to improve performance, scalability, and conversion.
Paid media channels were set up and managed across Google, Meta, and Pinterest, with each platform playing a defined role within the acquisition funnel. A test-and-learn framework was implemented to allow for incremental optimisation and sustainable year-over-year scaling, while insights from performance data informed pricing, merchandising, and product bundling strategies to maximise revenue per customer.
The Results
The impact on DTC performance was significant. Gross direct-to-consumer revenue increased by 146% in the first year and a further 134% in the second year. In 2024, the brand achieved a 75% new customer rate, alongside a 16% increase in AOV driven by refined pricing and bundling strategies.
Beyond owned-channel growth, the brand also secured strategic partnerships with Moda Operandi, ShopBazaar, and other notable ventures, further cementing Sara Cristina’s position as a standout destination within the luxury swim and resort-wear category.
